Linda Sandlin Received Double Honors

Linda Sandlin received double honors at the Annual Rotary Club Installation and Awards Banquet on Marco Island. Linda was awarded Rotarian of the Year for upholding and furthering the principles and ideals of the Rotary way of life, “Service Above Self.” In addition, each year the President of the Rotary Club of Marco Island selects a member of the Club to become a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of a demonstrated commitment to helping people. “Linda, your efforts in the area of international service: the Glasses for Mexico Project, the Vocational Center in Guatemala, and the elimination of Clubfoot in Central America Project, which is to be expanded globally, have been outstanding,” stated George Schroll, Marco Island Rotary Foundation Chairman. “Therefore Linda, you were selected to receive the Paul Harris Fellow Plus One pin with blue sapphire because Jim Stine and the Rotary Club of Marco Island believe your work exemplifies the humanitarian and educational objectives of the Rotary Foundation.
