Marco Island Farmer’s Market begins

It’s that wonderful time of year again to come and enjoy the amazing and now famous Marco Island Farmer’s Market which begins its 2012-2013 winter season on Wed. Nov. 8th thru the month of April. Come to Veteran’s Community Park, 901 Park Avenue, from 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and enjoy the terrific variety of fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers.

Come hungry and choose from a wide variety of food vendors and enjoy your lunch under a breezy, wide open tent with a chance to chat with other Islander’s and vacationer’s alike. Every craving is satisfied from traditional hot dogs and fries, organic middle-eastern food, to the all-time favorite of good ol’ finger lickin’ country barbeque. Do not fear, your sweet tooth will also be satisfied with a delicious choice of delectable breads and baked goods. No-one is left out, there are even yummy choices for your beloved dog or kitty! For those jewelry lovers you’ll find many creative vendors with custom designs. Love fresh flowers? Well this is the place to choose from the freshest bouquets and plants that you’ll find around to adorn your table. In other words, once you come to the Marco Island Farmer’s Market, you’ll be hooked and you’ll surely let all your friends know about it too! The Marco Players – Presents: “Plaza Suite” ~ Nov. 7th – Nov. 25th

Marco Players’ “Plaza Suite” is about what happens in the lives of 3 different couples in Suite 719 at the Plaza Hotel. Act one opens with Karen Nash reserving the Suite to celebrate her 24th anniversary. Karen is trying to put a spark in her failing marriage. But her husband Sam has his own plans. In the second vignette, Jesse Kiplinger, ex-movie producer, tries to put the moves on his old flame Muriel Tate. The third and final vignette is the story of Roy and Norma Hubley who try to persuade their nervous daughter Mimsey to leave the hotel bathroom in which she has locked herself on her much-anticipated wedding day. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll just love this classic of classic Neil Simon show! Evening performances, Wed., Thurs., Fri. & Sat. doors open at 7:30 p.m., show starts at 8:00 p.m., Sun., matinee doors open at 2:30p.m. and show begins at 3:00p.m. For more information about Marco Players at Marco Town Center, 1055 N.
