TripAdvisor, the go to travel website used by and for those seeking frank reviews of travel-related content, has announced its second annual Travelers’ Choice 2014 Winner Islands Awards and Marco Island was named the No. 1 island in the United States and No. 4 in the World!
While very excited with being rated the #1 island in the U.S. Marco Island residents are not at all surprised by the results. Long time Marco Island vacationer’s know you don’t need a long plane ride to bring you to an Island paradise.
According to a TripAdvisor.com site poll, 72 percent of U.S. respondents plan on visiting an island in 2014.
TripAdvisor island winners were specifically determined based on the quality and quantity of the most highly-rated hotels, restaurants, and attractions listed for each island on Trip Advisor gathered during a 12-month period.
